Kelsey Bouwman

PGY1 Pharmacy

Kelsey Bouwman is from Buford, Georgia and attended The University of Georgia for undergraduate study and pharmacy school (Go Dawgs!!). Her areas of interest include pediatrics and infectious diseases, and she hopes to complete a PGY2 in one of these areas. Her long term goals include practicing as a clinical pharmacist and serving as a preceptor. Outside of pharmacy she loves cheering for the Bulldogs and Braves, trying new restaurants, exercising, and cooking.

Shelby Go

PGY1 Pharmacy

Shelby is from the Kansas City area. She completed her both Doctor of Pharmacy and Undergraduate degrees at the University of Kansas. Her areas of interest include academia, critical care and infectious diseases. She is excited to explore a wide variety of areas of practice during her time at ECU Health to determine her future path for PGY2 and to become a well-rounded clinical pharmacist. Her long-term goals include practicing in an inpatient setting and mentoring and teaching future pharmacists. When she is not at the hospital, Shelby loves anything to do with figure skating, singing along to Broadway musicals, and watching Disney and Hallmark movies.

Michael Laskowitz

PGY1 Pharmacy

Michael Laskowitz is from Durham, North Carolina. He received his Doctor of Pharmacy degree from the University of North Carolina Eshelman School of Pharmacy in 2022. His areas of interest include critical care, cardiology and behavioral medicine. Michael is eager to continue to explore and refine these interests over the course of his PGY1 year in anticipation of pursuing a PGY2 residency. Ultimately, Michael’s goal is to practice clinical pharmacy at an academic medical center while serving as a mentor for pharmacy learners. Michael also enjoys disc golf, reading, board games and trying new restaurants.

Haley Parker

PGY1 Pharmacy

Haley Parker is originally from Southwick, Massachusetts and received her Doctor of Pharmacy from the University Of Rhode Island College Of Pharmacy in 2022. She is interested in critical care, infectious diseases and emergency medicine. Haley is excited for the opportunity to explore her areas of interest during PGY1, and after completing PGY1 plans to pursue a PGY2 in critical care or emergency medicine. In her spare time Haley enjoys reading, going to the beach, listening to true crime podcasts, knitting and spending time with her friends and family.

Carrie Lutheran

PGY2 Emergency Medicine

Carrie Lutheran is from Greensboro, North Carolina. She received her Doctor of Pharmacy degree from High Point University Fred Wilson School of Pharmacy in 2021. She completed her PGY1 residency at Moses Cone Memorial Hospital and is now the PGY2 in Emergency Medicine at ECU Health Medical Center. Her areas of interest include rapid sequence intubation, traumatic brain injury and stroke. After residency, her long term goals include practicing as a clinical pharmacist in a trauma center, completing impactful research and educating future pharmacists as well as other healthcare learners. Outside of pharmacy, she enjoys spending time with family and friends, being outdoors, reading fiction novels, and trying new recipes.

Sarah Lamon

PGY2 Critical Care

Sarah Lamon is from Holland, Pennsylvania. She received her Doctor of Pharmacy degree at Purdue University College of Pharmacy in 2021 and completed her PGY1 Residency at Naples Community Hospital in Naples, Florida. She has now joined the ECU Health team to continue her training as the PGY2 Critical Care resident. Her areas of interest include analgesia and sedation, medication safety, emergency medicine, and cardiology. After residency, she aspires to work as a clinical pharmacist, precept learners and hopes to become a clinical coordinator in the future. When she is not working in the hospital, she enjoys spending time with family and friends, playing with her three dogs, completing home improvement projects, and cooking new recipes.

Emily Chang

PGY2 Infectious Diseases

Emily Chang is from Houston, Texas. She received her Doctor of Pharmacy degree from the University of North Carolina Eshelman School of Pharmacy in 2021. Emily completed her PGY1 pharmacy residency at UF Health Jacksonville and is currently the PGY2 Infectious Diseases pharmacy resident at ECU Health Medical Center. Her areas of interest include bloodstream infections, Gram negative resistance and HIV. After completing her residency training, Emily plans to obtain a clinical pharmacist position in infectious diseases with opportunities for research and education. Outside of pharmacy, she enjoys traveling, running, and watching professional and college sports.
