The best time to apply is right now.
ECU Health is excited to launch a new PGY1 program with a specialty pharmacy focus! This program builds on the 30-year history of ECU Health Medical Center’s ASHP-accredited Residency and is in ASHP Pre-Candidate Status. It offers a unique opportunity for residents interested in one of the fastest-growing areas of pharmacy practice.
ECU Health Specialty Pharmacy is a health system-integrated outpatient service line that partners closely with specialty clinics across eastern North Carolina to provide comprehensive medication management, care coordination, and access support for patients with complex and chronic disease.
This program provides a unique training experience that integrates the clinical and operational aspects of specialty pharmacy within a health system. In collaboration with multidisciplinary health care teams, residents will develop skills to manage patients with complex specialty therapies, improve medication access - particularly in rural health populations - and improve patient outcomes across the continuum of care. These experiences help residents develop the skills needed to become innovative leaders in specialty pharmacy practice.
