In fact, during the preparation of the photoshoot that accompanied this story, Rhi noticed one of the tiniest patients needed assistance and she hopped over to help. In that moment, nothing else mattered except the patient in need of care.

Obstetrics and Children's Hospital Fellowship Program

For nurses interested in Obstetrics and Pediatrics, ECU Health offers a 16-week orientation period allowing nurses who have not been exposed to these areas the opportunity to gain skills and knowledge through classes and mentors.

Operating RN Fellowship Program

This 32-week operating room RN fellowship at ECU Health Medical Center provides structured career development for RNs interested in Operating Room opportunities. A Cardiovascular Operating Room (CVOR) Fellowship is also available, providing RNs with additional specialized CVOR training.

Patients and families have perspectives that are as valuable to a patient’s care as the clinical team’s training and experience. ECU Health Nursing Professional Practice Model is based on Dr. Kristen Swanson’s Theory of Caring, this model provides nurses at ECU Health Medical Center principles for daily care of patients and interaction with team members. Nurse Residency Program

Extensive orientation for new graduate RNs. ECU Health Medical Center’s program provides mentorship opportunities, clinical/classroom training and more — all the resources you need to become a confident and competent ECU Health Nurse. After completing our new graduate orientation program, you’ll have more practical experience and more confidence in your hands-on nursing skills.
