ECU Health is aware scammers are targeting candidates on Indeed and Upwork in an attempt to solicit social security and financial information. This practice commonly attracts candidates with offers of uncommonly high compensation, benefits and/or a promise to fund a "home office" with a large sum of money. These are widespread practices used by scammers nationally and is not the result of a data breach. ECU Health will never ask you to take a conversation to Whatsapp or other social platforms. Should someone reach out under suspicious circumstances, do not engage further. ECU Health encourages candidates to be careful when sharing financial, medical or personal information via networking sites or social platforms – and to take steps to verify job offers by calling a published number for any organization presenting you with a new opportunity.
