RN Residency Program

RN Residency Program for new graduates.

Nursing is an ever-changing field, and the perfect way to learn is by joining one of the nation's most dynamic health care systems, ECU Health, where virtually every clinical opportunity awaits you.

Our Nurse Residency Program gives graduate nurses the opportunity to choose from nearly any clinical area to find the best fit for your professional goals. It refines and enhances the skills you already have by pairing you with a strong mentor to support your growth along the way. After completing our 3-6 month new graduate orientation program, you'll have more practical experience and more confidence in your hands-on nursing skills.

As a nurse resident in our progressive system of care, you'll quickly develop the professional skills that set you apart and set you up for an outstanding career. You may have the opportunity to:

  • Be part of a cohort of other new graduate nurses
  • Work side by side with clinical coaches
  • Participate in simulation laboratory experiences
  • Be mentored by a nurse educator who will stimulate your critical thinking skills
  • Experience rotations with other key health care professionals
  • Participate in nursing councils and/or other professional groups within the organization
  • Organizations like ours demand highly skilled nurses ready to practice at the top of their license. We're ready to invest in you and your nursing future.
