GO TO SITEProviding IT services and infrastructure for a system that delivers health care to 1.4 million people is a huge job, but with the right employees, we’re up for the challenge. We have a state-of-the-art data center, and all ECU Health owned or leased hospitals are on a common IT platform – including our electronic health record (EHR) that uses Epic's suite of applications. Our ambulatory and inpatient teams are responsible for creating, maintaining, implementing and supporting the electronic health record in clinic practices, non-acute care area and in hospitals. All of our IT teams support and consult with each other on projects – creating and designing test cases and scripts to meet the functional requirements of a new feature plus planning and monitoring regression and integration testing. We work collaboratively with business partners and vendors. Day-to-day operations include preventative maintenance and troubleshooting to ensure infrastructure and application stability.
