So Many Opportunities to Do Great Things

Providing IT services and infrastructure for a system that delivers health care to 1.4 million people is a huge responsibility, but with the right people, we stay ahead of the challenges. We have the backing of a state-of-the-art data center and a common IT platform – including our electronic health record (EHR) that uses EPIC's suite of applications. Plus, all of our IT teams support and consult with each other on projects and work collaboratively with our business partners and vendors. It’s an exciting career that never gets old.

IT - Why ECU Health

Why ECU Health?

Our goal is to be the best at what we do. And every day, we are making good things happen. We were the first health care organization to implement EMC’s xTremeIO in an EPIC production environment. We are moving to the new ‘Converged Infrastructure’ using VCE vBlocks, and we are moving to a virtual desktop infrastructure. The list goes on and on. We are also approaching Stage 7 for HIMSS Analytics’ Electronic Medical Records Adoption Model (EMRAM) recognition. At ECU Health, we are focused on both technology and people. Training staff is a top priority. We have invested, and will continue to invest, in our teams, providing them with all of the necessary training on all of our new technologies – as well as related technologies so that we can continue to look for better solutions.
