About ECU Health Beaufort Hospital, a campus of ECU Health Medical Center

ECU Health Beaufort Hospital is located in Washington and serves as a campus ECU Health Medical Center, our Level I Trauma Center in Greenville. The 142-bed full-service hospital offers a broad range of inpatient and outpatient services including medical, surgical, intensive care, emergency, pediatrics and women’s services. In addition there is a lab, diagnostic imaging services, physical and respiratory therapy. The facility also features the Marion L. Shepard Cancer Center, offering leading-edge chemotherapy and radiation therapy, among other cancer services.

Position Summary

A Computed Tomography (CT) Technologist is a CT Professional that is qualified by professional credentialing and academic and clinical experience to provide diagnostic patient care services using CT and related diagnostic CT procedures. The scope of practice of the CT Technologist includes those procedures, acts and processes permitted by law, for which the individual has received education and clinical experience, has demonstrated competency, and has completed the appropriate ARRT (R)(CT) registry(s) which is the standard of practice in Radiology.

Minimum Requirements

Career Ladder: 

CT Technologist I: 

  • High school or equivalent (or higher)
  • Current Basic Life Support (BLS) Certification issued by the American Heart Association
  • Current ARRT (CT) or registry eligible and must pass CT registry test within 12 months of hire
  • 0 years of CT Technologist experience

CT Technologist II: 

  • High school or equivalent (or higher)
  • Current Basic Life Support (BLS) Certification issued by the American Heart Association
  • Current ARRT (CT)
  • 2 years of CT Technologist experience

CT Technologist III: 

  • High school or equivalent (or higher)
  • Current Basic Life Support (BLS) Certification issued by the American Heart Association
  • Current ARRT (CT)
  • 5 years of CT Technologist experience

CT Technologist IV: 

  • High school or equivalent (or higher)
  • Current Basic Life Support (BLS) Certification issued by the American Heart Association
  • Current ARRT (CT)
  • 8 years of CT Technologist experience

Other Information

  • Possible Shifts:
    • Option #1: Weekend Option: 7:00am - 7:30am with float day being Friday or Monday
    • Option #2: 2nd shift with either 5, 8 hours with a schedule of 3:30pm-11:30pm or 4 , 10 hours floating with start of shift being 12:00pm
  • Radiology-Diagnostic Department
