Position Summary

This position will develop and execute the organization's system-wide strategies in support of the full talent acquisition life cycle for the Health System. They will be responsible for leading a team that fills open positions across the system, in the shortest time possible, with the highest quality candidates. Reporting directly to the Vice President for Human Resources, this transformational and collaborative leader will play a critical role in leading all efforts related to recruitment, onboarding and new employee orientation across the Health System. This position will have the opportunity to develop innovative and transformational recruitment, onboarding and orientation processes that attract top talent to an organization truly committed to improving the health of eastern North Carolina on a dynamic and mission-driven recruiting team within the Human Resources function. This leader will play a lead role toward the development and implementation of all programs and initiatives related to full life cycle talent acquisition strategies. Responsible for creating a positive candidate to employee experience including talent acquisition, onboarding, and orientation of new team members.

Minimum Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Business, Human Resources, or related field required.
  • Master's degree preferred.
  • 7 or more years of Human Resources leadership experience that includes 3-5 years of best practice talent acquisition leadership experience is required.
  • Requires an in-depth understanding of recruitment best practices in both high volume and specialty recruitment.
  • Knowledge of best in class ATS and how to leverage data analytics for improved performance.
  • Experience in matrix organization and complex work environment is required.
  • The ability to negotiate both retained and contingency search agreements with past experience working with nationally based search firms on C-suite searches.
  • Demonstrated excellence in leading teams, especially through change and the implementation of new programs and processes.
  • Demonstrated success in filling open positions with passive candidates.
  • A track record of leading recruitment efforts in support of marque teams and supporting the objective of becoming the employer of choice.
  • Desire to lead through the organization's mission, vision, and values.
  • Upholds an executive presence and has the ability to speak to large groups as well as inspire action toward achieving system and regional initiatives.
  • Strategic thinker who has a successful track record in effectively leading through influence.
