East Carolina Heart Institute at ECU Health Medical Center is the region’s preferred facility for cardiovascular care. The six-story tower houses clinical space, diagnostic services and cardiovascular operating rooms, including a hybrid operating room. It features 120 beds for patients undergoing procedures for cardiac medicine, cardiac surgery and vascular surgery.

Position Summary
The Assistant Nurse Manager- OR (ANM - OR) is a professional nurse who demonstrates expertise utilizing the concepts of participative management.
The ANM-OR has the responsibility and authority for assisting with operational management of the department. Among these responsibilities are coordinating, evaluating improving nurse care, providing support to the Nurse Manager-OR and assisting the department leadership in promoting safe, cost effective and quality patient care on a daily basis.
Minimum Requirements
BSN is required.
Current NC RN license or licensure to practice in a participating Nurse Licensure Compact state is required.
3 to 5 years of experience with at least 2 years of recent OR clinical experience with 1 year in cardiac OR specialty required.
American Heart Association Basic Life Support is required.
Preferred Requirements
MSN preferred.
One year of progressive leadership experience preferred.
CNOR preferred.
