The OPAT Program Technician, working with the Vidant Health Outpatient Parenteral Antimicrobial Therapy Program, will assume a technical support role in infectious diseases ambulatory and home care practice. The individual will work with an OPAT Pharmacist Coordinator and members of an interdisciplinary team to provide outpatient parenteral antimicrobial therapy (OPAT) services across the Vidant Health System, which includes all system hospitals, provider clinics, infusion centers and home health services.
High School or Equivalent (GED) or higher
Three to four years of progressive pharmacy technician experience.
PTCB Certification- CPhT within one year of hire.
Excellent interpersonal communication skills (written and verbal).
Attention to detail and commitment to high quality patient experience.
Associate in Applied Science (AAS) Degree- Pharmacy Technology
Three years of experience in hospital, retail or home infusion setting.
