In addition to 24-hour emergency care, we also offer intensive care, medical, surgical, orthopedic, behavioral health, rehabilitation and therapy services; a cardiac catheterization lab; and outpatient clinics. Under the Clinical Supervision of the Director of Patient Care Services and the overall supervision of the Vice President for Patient Care Services, the Nursing Supervisor provides safe, expedient, cost-effective delegation of hospital staff. As a member of a team of health care professionals, the Nursing Supervisor assesses, plans, implements, and evaluates care and assignments for admissions, transfer, and deaths in collaboration with the physicians and other disciplinary team members which is age-appropriate for patients in his/her assigned unit or clinical settings. The Nursing Supervisor behaves in a manner consistent with the standards and ethics of all health care professionals. Nursing Supervisors are involved in clinical decision-making and evaluation of treatment efficacy. Nursing Supervisors are required to document in the electronic medical record factual, accurate, complete and timely legal information.
