About ECU Health Edgecombe Hospital

ECU Health Edgecombe Hospital is a full-service, 117-bed acute care facility where residents of Tarboro and the surrounding communities can receive a wide range of health services close to home. As part of the ECU Health system of care, the hospital offers high quality care provided by more than 20 medical specialists, rehabilitation services, a birthing center, a cancer center, outpatient clinics and more.

 

Position Summary

The primary population for the Surgical Unit consist of patients who are status post back surgery, knee/hip surgery, general surgeries, gynecology surgeries, urology, and medical patients. As an Certified Nursing Assistant II (NA II), you will be performing specific responsibilities under the direction and supervision of a licensed nurse. Functioning within the framework of the NAII listing granted by the NC Board of Nursing and practicing within the philosophy and goals of patient care services. 

Minimum Requirements

  • High School or GED is preferred
  • Active NAI listing with the North Carolina Division of Facility Services is required
  • Active NAII listing with North Carolina Board of Nursing is required
  • Current American Heart Association HeartSaver certification is required

  • Full-Time (36 hours a week)
