About ECU Health Duplin Hospital

ECU Health Duplin Hospital is an 81-bed facility located in Kenansville, North Carolina. The 15-bed emergency department serves approximately 25,000 patients per year. In addition to providing general medical and surgical services, ECU Health Duplin Hospital offers chemotherapy and other cancer infusion interventions and has earned national designation as a Primary Stroke Center.

Position Summary

The Licensed Physical Therapist is responsible for the overall delivery of physical therapy services and is accountable for the effectiveness of services. The LPT provides supervision to the PTA and works collaboratively during the delivery of services, The LPT is responsible for performing patient evaluations, developing interventions and establishing individualized plan of care with input from patient and family.

Minimum Requirements

  • Master's Degree in Physical Therapy from an accredited PT program.
  • North Carolina Physical Therapy License.
  • CPR Required.
  • Knowledge of contemporary and evidence-based PT practice.  Ability to interpret clinician prescriptions and referrals.  Ability to communicating, both orally and in writing, with patients, families, caregivers, and other health care professions to facilitate the multidisciplinary treatment process.
  • Skill in utilizing appropriate screening and evaluation techniques required to appropriately provide direct patient care.
  • Basic Life Support (BLS) Certification from the Amaerican Heart Association

  • This position will assist both Wallace and Kenansville locations
  • Physical Therapy (Wallace) Department
