Position Summary

Nursing Assistant I

The Nursing Assistant performs specific responsibilities under the direction and supervision of a licensed nurse. Functions within the framework of the NAI listing granted by the NC Department of Health and Human Services. Practices within the philosophy and goals of patient care services.

Nursing Assistant II

The Certified Nursing Assistant II performs specific responsibilities under the direction and supervision of a licensed nurse. Functions within the framework of the NAII listing granted by the NC Board of Nursing. Practices within the philosophy and goals of patient care services.

Minimum Requirements

Nursing Assistant I

• High School or GED is preferred
• NAI listing with NC Department of Health and Human Services is required
• Experience in a comparable facility can only be substituted for NA I course by successful completion of challenge exam acceptable to the NC Department of Health and Human Services is required
• American Heart Association Current American Heart Association CPR is required.
• BLS through American Heart Association is required and will not be accepted from other organizations.

Nursing Assistant II

• High School or GED is preferred
• Active NAI listing with the North Carolina Division of Facility Services is required
• Active NAII listing with North Carolina Board of Nursing is required
• Current American Heart Association HeartSaver certification is required
• BLS through American Heart Association is required and will not be accepted from other organizations.

Other Information

Full time, night shift and day shift positions are available and consist of three 12 hour shifts each week.  

PRN Shifts are also available and shifts are scheduled on an as needed basis. 

• ICU, Surgical Unit, Central Staffing and Emergency Department positions are available.
