Vidant North Hospital is a Joint Commission-accredited, 204-bed acute bed facility where residents of Halifax, Northampton and Warren counties in North Carolina and Mecklenburg, Brunswick and Greensville in Virginia receive a wide range of health services close to home. In addition to 24-hour emergency care, we also offer intensive care, medical, surgical, orthopedic, behavioral health, rehabilitation and therapy services; a cardiac catheterization lab; and outpatient clinics. The Inpatient Skin and Wound Program Nurse provides direct patient care and serves as a clinical resource/ consultant for patients with selected disorders of the gastrointestinal, genitourinary and integumentary systems. The Inpatient Skin and Wound Program Nurse should be prepared to provide the full scope of enterostomal therapy nursing practice, including education, counseling, research and administration.
Bachelor's Degree in Nursing is required, MSN is preferred.
3 to 5 years of clinical nursing experience.
MSN may be substituted for 1 year of experience.
Current RN licensure is required.
Current Wound and Ostomy certification by the Wound, Ostomy, Continence Nursing Certification Board (WOCNCB) is preferred.
