Position Summary

The Certified Medical Assistant coordinates clinic operations and assist providers by performing vital signs, patient questionnaire intake, data entry and medical records management.  This position will also assist with and provides patient care services and customer services as necessary. The Certified Medical Assistant also maintains all patient care related documentation in hard copy and/or electronic medical records.  This team member must demonstrate skill in clinical duties such as vitals, health history and other clinical duties as directed by clinicians.   In addition the Certified Medical Assistant will possesses time management skills and the ability to manage and perform multiple tasks and assist patients and providers as necessary.

Minimum Requirements

• Basic Life Support (BLS) Certification
• High School graduate or equivalent.
• One of the 2 certifications are required:
  • 1.  Certified medical assistant through the American Association of Medical Assistants (AAMA)
  • 2.  Registered medical assistant through the American Medical Technologists (AMT)
• Preferred one or more years experience in a clinical or medical office setting.

Other Information

• Full time position, benefit eligible
• Hours are Monday-Friday 8a-5p
• Position works onsite at the Sleep Center in Greenville, NC
• Offering a retention bonus up to $2500.00 for those holding the Certified Medical Assistant title through the American Association of Medical Assistants or the Registered Medical Assistant through the American Medical Technologists.
