About Vidant Transport

Vidant Medical Transport provides critical care air and ground service to areas within 150 miles of Greenville, North Carolina. We are based at Vidant Medical Center, home of the region's only Level-1 Trauma Center and Children's Hospital. Vidant Medical Transport is nationally recognized for safety, quality and service. We are fully accredited by CAMTS (the Commission on Accreditation of Medical Transport Systems). Since 1985, Vidant Medical Transport has been committed to building relationships with our partners, patients and the communities we serve.

 

Position Summary

  • The Communications Technician functions as a direct facilitator in processing and executing service requests for the VidantHealth System. Responsibilities include: obtaining the appropriate information for service requests and providing any additional assistance necessary to meet the system's needs. The Communications Technician functions as a part of the Communications Center and shares responsibility for working cooperatively with all team members. The Communications Technician dispatches and communicates with all EastCare assets, maintains logs and records, and performs other dutiesas assigned. The Communication Technician will uphold the mission, goals, and objectives, of EastCare and the VidantHealth System at all times.

Minimum Requirements

  • High School or equivalent is required
  • NC Office of EMS EMT Certification or higher is required. Employees without EMT certification will have up to one year from their end orientation date to obtain certification.
