Position Summary

  • The Employee Health Nurse is a professional nurse who is currently licensed to practice as a Registered Nurse in North Carolina. Works under direct leadership of the Director of Human Resources with supervision by Infection Control and  Prevention Nurse. Maintains daily log of employees reporting to Employee Health.
  • Maintains monthly reports for the Safety Committee regarding accidents, injuries, and work-related illnesses.
  • Responsible for immunizing all employees in accordance with CDC, ACIP, and State Guidelines.
  • Acts as a consultant to the Health System and Medical Staff concerning Employee Health matters.
  • Responsible for implementation of the Employee Health Program.

Minimum Requirements

  • Minimum of two years of nursing experience.
  • Possess leadership skills, clinical ability, computer knowledge, good organizational skills, and ability to maintain confidentiality.
  • Current licensure as a Registered Nurse in North Carolina.
  • Knowledge in Occupational Health.  This may be by virtue of one or more of the following:  education, training, experience, or certification.
  • American Heart Association Basic Life Support (BLS) Certification.
