Position Summary

  • The Telephone Triage Nurse provides phone triage and clinical advice based on Schmitt-Thompson Triage Clinical Content (STCC) nurse guidelines and protocols. 
  • The population scope includes newborns to the elderly and directs to the appropriate access to care including immediate triage to EMS, a provider, or follow-up in the ambulatory setting.

Minimum Requirements

  • Associates degree in Nursing or higher.
  • Registered Nurse Licensure - State of North Carolina
  • Minimum of 3 - 5 years clinical nursing experience in Emergency, Pediatrics, Obstetrics, Behavioral Health, Critical Care, or Medical/Surgical units
  • One year of clinical experience can be substituted for clinical certification or prior triage or health coaching experience.  
  • Triage/Clinical Call Center experience preferred

  • Location/Department: Nurse Advice Line - based in Greenville, NC 
  • This position is part-time - 20hrs/week - must be flexible to work days, evenings, weekends and holidays (rotating schedule)
