Minimum Requirements

High School or GED is preferred - or higher.

NAI listing with NC Department of Health and Human Services is required.

Experience in a comparable facility can only be substituted for NA I course by successful completion of challenge exam acceptable to the N.C. Department of Health and Human Services is required.

Current American Heart Association HeartSaver or higher certification is required.

De-escalation training (Non-violent crisis intervention or other de-escalation program adopted by ECU Health). If not current at the time of hire must complete within 90 days of employment and maintain without lapse during employment.

Other Information

SP NA required to work two 12-hour shifts in CICU each scheduling period. One of the shifts must be a weekend shift. Additional shifts are available but not required. Only current nursing students will be considered for this position.
