About ECU Health North Hospital

ECU Health North Hospital is a Joint Commission-accredited, 204-bed acute bed facility serving Halifax, Northampton and Warren counties in the north-central region of North Carolina. Its service area also reaches into southern Virginia. With more than 600 team members, the hospital offers a broad range of medical and surgical services. It features a 24-hour emergency department and offers advanced diagnostics as well as specialty and primary care.

Position Summary

Provides clinical and administrative direction in the efficient and quality operation of Outreach and Marketing, Clinical and Ambulatory Services for identified departments/service line such as; Pharmacy, Radiology, Laboratory Services, Facility/Plant Ops and Rehabilitation Services. This administrative direction is being provided at three regional hospitals.

The primary goal of these departments is the delivery of quality, compassionate, culturally competent, cost effective and efficient care to patients, families and other groups throughout the community. This position serves as a member the executive team.

This position collaborates with colleagues at the corporate level, assuring communication of activities and utilizing resources as appropriate.

Utilizing their leadership skills, the role maintains responsibility for the coordination of human, financial, and material resources in a manner which is consistent with organizational goals, vision and mission. Actively participates in the organization's leadership functions and collaborates with their staff and other members of the hospital community in designing and providing services.

Minimum Requirements

Bachelor's and Master's degree is in Business, Finance, Healthcare or related area required- or higher. Additional training with Lean methodology or Six Sigma is preferred.
A minimum of 5 to 7 years of progressive leadership and management experience within a hospital or healthcare organization setting required.
