Position Summary

To carry out the functions associated with the NCOEMS Scope of Work for the Hosptial Preparedness Program including, but not limited to logistical matters related to the Eastern Regional Advisory Committee's (ERAC) State Medical Assistance Team (SMAT) and the Assistant Secretary of Preparedness and Response Grant (ASPR) grant.

Responsibilities

  • Work with the purchasing department, receiving department, and vendors to order items and equipment for the region. 
  • Monitor regional purchases of equipment. Log and/or verify delivery of equipment purchased for the region and establishing contacts with receiving agencies.
  • Assist with the preparation and receiving bids for regional program purchases in collaboration with the Regional Emergency Response and Recovery Coordinators to meet the financial guidelines of the grant. 
  • Plan and conduct administrative duties related to the day-to-day management of the Assistant Secretary of Preparedness and Response Grant (ASPR).
  • Troubleshoot, resolve, any financial liabilities or issues, including, but not limited to invoicing concerns, managing contract completion of processes, assist the 29 county region to meet contract and grant guidelines. 
  • Work with the Regional Emergency Response Coordinator (RERRC) to complete needs assessments (supplies, equipment, technological, education, etc) throughout the 29 county regions hospitals, EMS systems, Community Health Agencies, and Medical Reserve Corps. 

Minimum Requirements

  • College Degree (4yrs) is required- or higher.
  • Certified EMT-Paramedic preferred. Class A CDL or obtain one within 6 months of employment.
  • 5 years of experience required with an additional 5 years of experience substituted for 4 year degree.
  • 5 years or greater Nursing, Emergency Management, Emergency Services, EMS and/or Fire service experience is required.
