Position Summary
The Senior Inclusion & Belonging Consultant acts as a subject matter expert, internal consultant, and project manager to lead, influence and support complex inclusion projects pertaining to people, culture and experience as they follow ECU Health's Mission and Values. Supports the Chief Inclusion and Belonging Officer and other department leaders by providing strategic direction for system wide equity, inclusion and belonging (I & B) initiatives. This role will help cultivate and maintain a system strategy. Supports equity and inclusion through business consulting services, including implementing and leading projects, business process design, business case analysis, and advice on strategic I & B issues with an emphasis on data analysis and insight generation. Initiates and cultivates relationships with system leaders, regional partners, University partners, Office of Experience, Human Resources, Regional Community Partners and other areas as needed, assisting them in identifying barriers and opportunities in the team member experience and talent cycle, specifically in culture, team dynamics, recruitment, development, promotion, and retention. Supports business units and other stakeholders in creating and sustaining inclusive cultures and behaviors to drive business results and performance. Responsible for providing high-level support in the administration of I & B programs.
A key area of responsibility will be the alignment of ECU Health I & B structure, offerings and strategies with Brody School of Medicine and East Carolina University people opportunity initiatives; focusing on talent pipeline, inclusive culture development, diversity standards and more.
Responsible for the collaborative design, delivery, evaluation, and evolution of ECU Health's system-wide Talent Development Strategy, aligning aspects of team, organization, leadership and physician development and programming, which exists to ensure team members, leaders and physicians/providers embody leadership capacities and competencies necessary for the success of ECU Health. This is necessary to establish an inclusive workforce culture that positions all members of the ECU Health System where talent thrives by leading self, team and system.
Minimum Requirements
Master's degree is required- or higher.
5 or more years experience practicing and/or teaching is required.
