ECU Health Medical Center, one of four academic medical centers in North Carolina, is the 974-bed flagship hospital for ECU Health and serves as the primary teaching hospital for The Brody School of Medicine at East Carolina University. ECU Health Medical Center has achieved Magnet® designation twice and provides acute and intermediate care, rehabilitation and outpatient health services to a 29-county region that is home to more than 1.4 million people.

Position Summary

Provides decision and process improvement support to ECU Health Leadership, Physicians, and Team Members through the creation, production, support and analysis of  strategic experience and engagement monitors, measures and matrices.

Responsibilities

  • (40%) Provide leadership with value added information and analysis related to all aspects of experience and engagement performance.

  • Review and monitor key performance indicators and statistics, identifying and communicating variances and shifts in practice and performance.

  • Provide research and additional data mining to give leadership understanding and explanation of changes in performance.

  • Design and maintain monitoring, communication and feedback strategies with ECU Health Leaders.

  • Participate in the identification and formation strategies to identify and correct lagging performers while seeking to identify and replicate leading performers across the system.

  • (30%) Provide all levels of management with information and process improvement consulting.

  • Support leadership and provide tools to make key operational decisions to meet health system objectives.

  • Provide data analytics, process monitors, research and information tools to support and facilitate health system initiatives and directives.

  • Assist and support management in the preparation and formation of improvement strategies and plans.

  • (20%) Provide information and analytical support for charter projects and initiatives

  • Work with all levels of management, team members and physicians to manage and deliver the information, data analysis and research need support projects and initiatives.

  • Serve as a resource and coordinator for data analysis information for projects to meet executive level priorities.

  • Provide unbiased process flows and process improvement tools to identify and support operational and practice improvement opportunities.

  • Compile and analyze data and convert to presentation format for varying levels of management.

  • (10%) Production of key monthly, quarterly, and annual strategic process monitors and metrices used by leadership to gauge and make crucial decisions.

  • Provide tool for managing daily operations including productivity, volume, demographics, experiences, and engagement.

  • Provide time appropriate tools to manage and assess the success of initiatives, programs and departmental activities related to experience and engagement outcomes.

  • Maintain and manage collection and quality assurance for internal and external statistics.

Minimum Requirements

  • Bachelor's Degree or higher

  • Zero to two years related experience

  • Hospital Experince 
  • Power BI
  • PowerPoint and Excel
