Position Summary
The Orthoptist will serve as an integral member of the pediatric eye care team. The role will provide direct patient care by diagnosing and treating visual system disorders such as abnormalities of binocular vision and eye movement disorders, including amblyopia, diplopia, genetic disorders of the eye, and strabismus. In addition to working alongside the physician in ophthalmology clinics, the Orthoptist will have the opportunity to see patients independently in their own strabismus/amblyopia clinic, if desired. The Orthoptist will have a unique opportunity to be part of a growing department, and join a team dedicated to improving pediatric ophthalmology care for children across the state.
