About ECU Health Roanoke-Chowan Hospital

ECU Health Roanoke-Chowan Hospital is a 114-bed community hospital located in Ahoskie. Serving four nearby counties, the 15-bed emergency department sees approximately 18,000 patients per year. ECU Health Roanoke-Chowan Hospital provides a wide range of health services, including medical, surgical and radiation oncology. In addition, the Wound Healing and Pain Management clinics serve as referral centers for neighboring ECU Health hospitals and providers.

Position Summary

The Central Supply Tech supervises the sterilization/disinfection of patient care equipment in a wide variety of clinical settings.

 

Responsibilities: 

  • Demonstrate the knowledge and skills necessary to prepare equipment and supplies appropriate to the age of the patient/client.
  • Accountable for departmental safety and risk management functions.
  • Use universal precautions appropriately and performs proper handwashing.
  • Demonstrate safe operation of all equipment in compliance with department policy, safety, disinfection, infection control and quality control standards.
  • Maintain confidentiality of patient information.

Minimum Requirements

  • High School Diploma or Equivalent
  • Completion of CS Competency Validations within 4 months of hire.

Other Information

  • PRN Schedule, will work with Manager to cover department when staffing is low 
  • On-Call, Rotating Weekends and Holidays
