About The Outer Banks Hospital
The Outer Banks Hospital is a full-service critical access hospital offering a wide range of inpatient and outpatient services. The 21-bed facility is designed to meet the needs of the coastal community, whose year-round population of approximately 35,000 swells to about 350,000 in the summer season. Its campus includes four ORs, a medical/surgical unit, a labor & delivery suite with a dedicated caesarian section OR, a full rehabilitation therapy center, cancer treatment and radiation therapy center, and a 24-hour emergency department.

Position Summary
Provides general clerical, secretarial, and support functions for the department. May also provides general reception support for additional departments.
Minimum Requirements
High School Diploma or equivalent, including courses relevant to secretarial science and a minimum of 1 year of formal training or education; college degree strongly preferred.
Must possess a high school diploma with strong personal computer skills (word processing, presentation and spreadsheet) and customer service experience with a minimum of five (5) years combined secretarial or administrative support experience. Implementation of computer technology software programs preferred. Computer software troubleshooting experience. A minimum 1-2 years experience in a health care environment strongly preferred.
Other Information
Full time with benefits - 40 hous per week
Day shift: Monday - Friday, 8:30-am - 5:00pm
