Position Summary

The Patient Care Coordinator is responsible for Program Planning, Human Resource Management, Financial Management, Quality Assurance, Staff Development, Collaboration with Medical Staff, Hospital Departments and external agencies.

Responsibilities

  • Accountability for Program Planning and Decision Making
  • Maintain Accountability for patient placement and bed utilization.
  • Initiates, monitors and/or participates in program development, implementation, evaluation and revisions.
  • Promotes public relations to increase customer awareness of services provided.
  • Participates in interview process for supplemental staffing, Assist Team and leadership as appropriate.
  • Promote employee satisfaction.  Directs the workforce to ensure safe, quality patient care by redistributing staff and relocating patients.
  • Work with departments to maintain within their budgets as staffing and resource decisions are made.

Minimum Requirements

  • BSN or higher required
  • NC RN license required.
  • American Heart Association BLS or Heart Saver is required.
  • Five years of clinical experience, with at least one year of management or leadership experience is required. 
  • Evidence of progressive leadership qualities is required.
