Position Summary
Visit all newly admitted patients on advanced diets. Visit all patients who have advanced from NPO/Clear Liquid/Full Liquid diets. Visit with nursing staff on units to identify patients who need help ordering meals. Document and resolve any patient/nursing complaints regarding meal service. Communicate with Clinical Dietitians any patient related issues that they need to know about. Will provide coverage for call center operators or host/hostesses as requested by supervisor or managers. Conduct daily meal rounds. Complete AYR test trays.
Minimum Requirements
High Scool or equivalent is preferred
Experience - Related experience or education demonstrating knowledge of normal and modified diets and the Carbohydrate Counting and Protein Exchange Systems.
Previous networked computer experience preferred; Basic typing skills; Good verbal and written communication skills; Ability to work independently and complete assignments in a timely manner.
Must be able to read, write and speak English (Bilingual in Spanish is preferred)
Nutrition education background or previous hospital food service, diet office, of clerical experience preferred.
1 to 3 years of work experience is required.

Rotating Shift: 6am - 2:30pm, 10:30am - 7pm
