ECU Health Medical Center, one of four academic medical centers in North Carolina, is the 974-bed flagship hospital for ECU Health and serves as the primary teaching hospital for The Brody School of Medicine at East Carolina University. Position Summary

  • The Supervisor will be responsible for day to day supervision and coordination of service provision for a multidisciplinary team.
  • Responsibilities include daily monitoring of process effectiveness and outcomes, service delivery, and support of care management and clinical services to patients and families.
  • The Supervisor will also participate in provision of care and service delivery a portion of the time and assist with overall operations of the division/department.

Responsibilities

  • Responsible for the day to day coordination of services including provision of care, service delivery and quality.
  • Coordinates age specific quality care by utilizing advanced and specialty focused clinical skills, expert clinical knowledge, and effective management of resources.
  • Ensures standards of care are followed and documented.
  • Develops tools, protocols, and other methods to enhance programs.
  • Assures effective monitoring of processes, workload, and patient and family outcomes.
  • Leads and participates in quality monitoring, clinical record reviews, observations, quality improvement, regulatory, compliance activities, and audits to assure evidence based practices are followed.

Minimum Requirements

  • Bachelor's Degree in Nursing or Master's Degree in Social Work
  • Must maintain a valid North Carolina driver's license or be licensed in the state of residence and maintain the VH required
  • insurance limits.
  • 2-3 years related experience
  • Licensure/Registration/Certification: License as a Registered Nurse, must maintain licensure with the North Carolina
  • Board of Nursing.
