About ECU Health Roanoke-Chowan Hospital

ECU Health Roanoke-Chowan Hospital is a 114-bed community hospital located in Ahoskie. Serving four nearby counties, the 15-bed emergency department sees approximately 18,000 patients per year. ECU Health Roanoke-Chowan Hospital provides a wide range of health services, including medical, surgical and radiation oncology. In addition, the Wound Healing and Pain Management clinics serve as referral centers for neighboring ECU Health hospitals and providers.

Position Summary

Under the Clinical Supervision of the Director of Quality, Regulatory and Patient Safety the Medical Staff Coordinator provides safe, expedient, cost-effective services. As a member of a team of health care professionals, Medical Staff Coordinator is responsible for the Medical Staff credentialing process. The Medical Staff Coordinator has the ability to function independently, make decisions, be detailed oriented, possess time management skills and the ability to perform multiple tasks and projects. The Medical Staff Coordinator behaves in a manner consistent with the standards and ethics of all health care professionals.

Minimum Requirements

Requires High School Diploma or equivalent
Junior college or college degree preferred

Minimum of 3 years of progressively responsible experience in a setting in which there a direct involvement with medical staff and advanced level practitioners and its organizations is preferred.
