Position Summary
Participates in end users discussions regarding workflows associated with upcoming enhancements or system changes.
Supports the evaluation, testing, and implementation of defect patches, system upgrades and releases according to the Information Services support model and change control procedures.
Ability to analyze and resolve simple issues

Pharmacy Applications Team
Epic Electronic Medical Record, specifically Epic Willow Inpatient that is the comprehensive pharmacy management module used for medication ordering, pharmacist verification, monitoring, billing, etc. This team is concerned for all functions in the EHR that relate to medications. In addition, uses Epic tools such as Reporting Workbench and SlicerDicer (Med Administration, Order, & Dispensing).
Epic integrated content requirements are required for First Data Bank (FDB) as the base of all medications (inpatient and outpatient) including allergens and interaction records, as well as Dynamedex/Micromedex med reference links on medications.
Beacon Oncology allows physicians to create treatment plans and protocols that are developed with specific medications, labels, supportive care, treatment days, etc. working with Pharmacy Oncology, Oncology Providers, and Beacon Oncology team.
Third party application support includes: QS1 NRx Retail Pharmacy for retail pharmacies, ScriptPro Robotics (automate fills at the Employee Clinic), BD Pyxis Medstations used at all hospitals and select clinics, BD Logistics Inventory across all hospitals, Pak-Edge Unit Dose Packager, Abacus TPN Dispensing System, Dr. First used for pulling Med History information, StatStock to assist with med crash cart kits for quicker drug replenishments, Medi-Dose (MILT) repackage solid orals with unit dose meds for barcode administration labeling, and Macro Helix used for 340B support.
Minimum Requirements
Associate degree or higher or equivalent work, training and experience required.
Ability to provide value-added support to one or more applications.
Independently motivated to seek knowledge through self-education, mentoring, etc. in areas pertaining to their current position.
Obtains and maintains current certification from the vendor and continued education/learning to understand the functionality of applications(s) supported as applicable to the job role.
For individuals clinically trained:
Application Analyst I & II are required to complete and maintain one primary Epic Certification as determined by manager. See alternative requirements for Enterprise Imaging Analysts supporting non-Epic tools.
Preferred Requirements
Bachelors degree in Computer Science, Information Systems or related field preferred
Training in system analysis preferred
Experience as analyst implementing and testing vendor packaged software applications preferred
Experience in health care setting preferred
