Position Summary

The Senior Benefits Consultant role will empower results for ECU Health team members by delivering innovative and effective solutions supporting the health, welfare, time away from work, and retirement benefit plans. This role requires a deep and broad understanding of all benefit plans and serves as a subject matter expert of the medical, dental, vision, life, disability, spending accounts, voluntary plans, time away from work plans and retirement benefit plans. This position leads the analysis, research, administration and communication of strategic team member benefit programs, and the processes associated with supporting these programs. This position is responsible for the overall vendor management relationship and partners with leadership to conduct the RFI, RFP and benefit vendor selection processes. Leads the implementation and administration of benefit projects and initiatives and serves as a mentor for the Benefit Consultant role. Requires excellent written and verbal communication skills to develop plan documents, amendments, website, marketing materials and communications for all ECU Health benefit plans.

Minimum Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree is required or higher.
  • 5 - 7 years of experience
  • Working knowledge and experience with PC-based applications, i.e. Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook
  • Preferred experience includes prior work experience as a Benefits Analyst or Consultant, experience in Healthcare and working on benefits platforms such as bswift, Workday and Empyrean.
