About ECU Health Chowan Hospital
ECU Health Chowan Hospital in Edenton is a 25-bed critical access hospital which provides programs and services to 110,000 people in 6 counties. The facility offers medical and surgical services, including intensive care, a specialty care clinic and a dedicated outpatient surgery area with endoscopy capabilities. A 7-bed emergency department serves approximately 15,000 patients per year and team members at the facility have access to a telemedicine link with the Brody School of Medicine at East Carolina University.
Position Summary
The Nursing Supervisor is a registered nurse who has the responsibility of clinically managing and coordinating patient care activities on all nursing units. Is proficient in nursing process and crisis management. Make acute administrative decisions regarding patient care and support personnel/equipment needs. Must have a current valid license as a Registered Nurse in the state of North Carolina. Must have 2 years experience in an acute setting. Experience in critical care preferred. Is in good physical and mental health, and has the ability to work effectively with patients and staff members, and demonstrates leadership ability. Must demonstrate integrity, initiative, and evidence of self-improvement. Computer experience preferred. CPR and ACLS required.
Minimum Requirements
Must have a current valid license as a Registered Nurse in the state of North Carolina.
Must have 2 years experience in an acute setting.
Computer experience preferred.
CPR and American Heart Association ACLS required.
American Heart Association Basic Life Support (BLS) Certification

This is a PRN position; hours are based on the needs of the department.
There no guaranteed hours.
This position is not eligible for Team Member Benefits.
