Position Summary
This role is responsible for the management of key organizational projects throughout the project life cycle by following ECU Health's Project Management Framework.
Management of organizational projects ranging from small to medium project size and low to moderate complexity under direct supervision of a more seasoned project or program manager. The projects will be managed utilizing the PM framework and methodology (Waterfall, Agile & Hybrid) guidelines to deliver initiatives on schedule and on budget while meeting the needs of the project sponsor units.
Projects may be cross-functional in nature and may require participation across multiple business units.
Responsible for building project plan to work breakdown structure (WBS) level with team participation.
Responsible for creating and managing project budgets.
Responsible for managing issues, risks, decisions and assumptions.
Responsibilities
Analyze project proposals to determine time frame, funding limitations and appropriate process for accomplishing projects.
Identify and schedule project deliverables, milestones, and required activities and tasks.
Provide leadership and motivation to project team members throughout the project life cycle, and confer with project staff to outline a work plan.
Establish a work plan and staffing for project activities, iterations or phases, and arrange for recruitment or assignment of project personnel.
Implement a project communication plan.
Perform risk assessment and implement mitigation plans.
Monitor project activities, ensuring the currency, quality and integrity of information, while providing consistency in content and look and feel across the organization.
Ensure that project goals are in line with business objectives.
Ensure that project goals are achieved.
Assign duties and responsibilities to project personnel and define the scope of their authority.
Direct and coordinate the activities of project personnel to ensure projects progress on schedule and within budget.
Review status reports prepared by project personnel, and modify schedules or plans as required.
Establish standards and procedures for project reporting and documentation.
Benchmark project management performance continuously to identify the potential for improvements and increase capability in project and portfolio management.

Minimum Requirements
High school diploma (or equivalent) or higher
5+ years of professional Project Management experience leading and executing projects that are focused in a department or individual operating unit required.
