ECU Health Physicians is multi-specialty group with over 600 providers in more than 140 primary and specialty clinics across more than 110 locations in eastern North Carolina.
ECU Health Multispecialty Clinic Tarboro combines local doctors, nurses, nurse practitioners and physician assistants who have years of experience caring for the community, with a brand new state-of the-art medical facility offering integrated, convenient and patient-centered care.
Position Summary
The Medical Assistant performs clinical support services, assist with secretarial/clerical duties, and maintain patient care documentation in medical records.
Minimum Requirements
- HS graduate, Equivalent (GED) or higher
- Substitution: Formal medical assistant or nursing aide training may be substituted with six months current full time experience in the clinical setting as a Medical Assistant, Certified Medical Assistant, or CNA
- American Heart Association Basic Life Support (BLS) Certification
Preferred:
- One to two years of formal medical assistant or nurse aide training
Other Information
- Monday - Thursday (8 am - 5 pm), Friday (8 am - 1 pm)
