The Outer Banks Hospital is a full-service critical access hospital offering a wide range of inpatient and outpatient services. The 21-bed facility is designed to meet the needs of the coastal community, whose year-round population of approximately 35,000 swells to about 350,000 in the summer season. Its campus includes four ORs, a medical/surgical unit, a labor & delivery suite with a dedicated caesarian section OR, a full rehabilitation therapy center, cancer treatment and radiation therapy center, and a 24-hour emergency department.

Position Summary
The Educational Nurse Specialist is a registered professional nurse who executes staff development processes to ensure quality patient outcomes. The Educational Nurse Specialist functions as a leader, innovator, coordinator and change agent in the pursuit of professional nursing practice and safe, cost effective, quality patient care. The Educational Nurse Specialist works within the framework of the Hospital and Patient Care Services philosophy and objective.
Minimum Requirements
Bachelor's Degree or higher.
Licensure/Registration/Certification: License as a Registered Nurse, must maintain licensure with the North Carolina Board of Nursing.
Five to seven years related experience
