About ECU Health Beaufort Hospital, a campus of ECU Health Medical Center

ECU Health Beaufort Hospital is located in Washington and serves as a campus ECU Health Medical Center, our Level I Trauma Center in Greenville. The 142-bed full-service hospital offers a broad range of inpatient and outpatient services including medical, surgical, intensive care, emergency, pediatrics and women’s services. In addition there is a lab, diagnostic imaging services, physical and respiratory therapy. The facility also features the Marion L. Shepard Cancer Center, offering leading-edge chemotherapy and radiation therapy, among other cancer services.

Position Summary

The Diagnostic Radiologic Technologist I is a member of the diagnostic staff of Radiology Services. The technologist is responsible for the operation of diagnostic and fluoroscopy imaging equipment and for performing examinations. The diagnostic technologist must maintain a high standard of ethics while providing quality patient care. Through proper credentialing, the technologist must be ARRT (R) registered with current certification.

Minimum Requirements

Career Ladder:

Diagnostic Technologist I:

  • High school or equivalent (or higher)
  • Current Basic Life Support (BLS) Certification issued by the American Heart Association
  • Must have current ARRT (R) registry, or if new graduate obtain registration within 12 months
  • 0 years of experience as Radiologic/Diagnostic Technologist

Diagnostic Technologist II:

  • High school or equivalent (or higher)
  • Current Basic Life Support (BLS) Certification issued by the American Heart Association
  • Current ARRT (R) required
  • 2 years of experience as Radiologic/Diagnostic Technologist

Diagnostic Technologist III:

  • High school or equivalent (or higher)
  • Current Basic Life Support (BLS) Certification issued by the American Heart Association
  • Current ARRT (R) required
  • 5 years of experience as Radiologic/Diagnostic Technologist

Diagnostic Technologist IV:

  • High school or equivalent (or higher)
  • Current Basic Life Support (BLS) Certification issued by the American Heart Association
  • Current ARRT (R) required
  • 8 years of experience as Radiologic/Diagnostic Technologist

  • Primary Shift: Rotating; Flexible schedule; 7:00am - 3:00pm, 3:00pm - 11:00pm, 11:00am - 7:0pm
  • On Call: Yes
  • Weekends: Yes
