Position Summary
The ECU Health Pharmacy Business Director oversees the accurate and timely financial management of the Pharmacy Department in accordance with hospital and regulatory guidelines. This person is responsible for oversight of medication ordering, compliance with purchasing contracts, billing integrity, and development of strategies to meet budgetary goals. In addition, this individual is involved in ECU Health 340b program. The ECU Health Pharmacy Business Director reports to the Vice President of Pharmacy and supervises personnel in the Pharmacy Business Office, Pharmacy Purchasing, Pharmacy Prior Authorization, Medication Access, Pharmacy Call Center and Distribution Center Logistics.
Minimum Requirements
Bachelor's degree in Business or Health Care Administration, Finance, Accounting, Pharmacy (PharmD), or a related field is required. Master's degree in Health Care Administration, Business Administration, Finance or Accounting are preferred.
Three or more years of relevant management experience in health care finance or pharmacy administration is required.
Excellent communication and analytical skills are essential. Mastery of MS Office and advanced analytical reporting ability are highly desirable.
Pharmacy procurement, financial operations and 340B spit billing knowledge and experience is strongly preferred.
