ECU Health Medical Center, one of four academic medical centers in North Carolina, is the 974-bed flagship hospital for ECU Health and serves as the primary teaching hospital for The Brody School of Medicine at East Carolina University. ECU Health Medical Center has achieved Magnet® designation twice and provides acute and intermediate care, rehabilitation and outpatient health services to a 29-county region that is home to more than 1.4 million people.

Position Summary

Order/maintain supplies.

Sterile techniques.

Answers phones/takes messages.

Assists technologists and physicians.

Maintain patient logs.

Work in various areas of the department.

Monitors Stockroom for inventory correctness.

Puts up all stock items from Receiving.

Ensures good housekeeping, order and arrangement in the Stockroom.

Follows-up on web order deliveries.

Follows-up on backorder items.

Runs reports as needed.

Change Pyxis par levels, add/delete Pyxis items.

Performs other duties as assigned.

Minimum Requirements

High School or equivalent (or higher)

Basic Cardiac Life Support is required.

One to two years of experience as a Nursing Assistant, Patient Escorter or other patient care experience is required.

Intermediate to advanced training in People Soft and Pyxis systems in regard to inventory is required.

Basic training in Microsoft Office software including Word, Excel, PowerPoint and the organizations e-mail system is required.

Responsible experience in material handling, distribution, inventory management or related experience.

Individuals must be an experienced user of People Soft and Pyxis software (in regard to inventory) and be able to use Microsoft products such as Word, Excel and Powerpoint effectively.

Other Information

Department: ECU Health Radiology-Vascular Intervention.

Shifts: Mon-Fr. 8hrs.

Weekends: Rotating.

On-Call: Every 3rd Weekend.
