Position Summary
Overall management of the linen distribution program including daily operations and staff. Work with EVS, Linen processor and departments to ensure linen is available for patient use. Track and manage linen ratio to ensure lost linen charges and minimized.
Responsibilities
1. Commitment to a high standard of customer service.
2. Ownership of linen ratio to ensure lost linen charges are minimized.
3. Manage linen orders and any associated inventory systems.
4. Ensure units are properly stocked without overstock.
5. Review and distribute available monthly reports to identify opportunities for efficiency and cost control.
6. Implement and sustain an in-service education program to maximize patient care and improve quality and cost reduction.
7. Implementation of linen utilization guidelines and awareness program that is designed to provide education regarding proper linen utilization.
8. Communicate with unit leadership and resolve any linen quality or quantity concerns.
9. Provides direction and leadership to management and staff in area of accountability. Identifies, coordinates and adjusts resources as needed.
10. Develops and monitors action plans to improve performance against expectations in area of accountability.
11. Facilitates positive relationships and communications between departments and key stakeholders, through various means, such as conducting and attending meetings, rounding, having one-to-one communications, and generally being visible and accessible to colleagues and staff.
12. Other duties as assigned.
Minimum Requirements
High School or Equivalent (GED) required.
Prefer Associates Degree
5 - 7 years in Supply Chain or linen distribution experience preferred.
