About The Outer Banks Hospital
The Outer Banks Hospital is a full-service critical access hospital offering a wide range of inpatient and outpatient services. The 21-bed facility is designed to meet the needs of the coastal community, whose year-round population of approximately 35,000 swells to about 350,000 in the summer season. Its campus includes four ORs, a medical/surgical unit, a labor & delivery suite with a dedicated caesarian section OR, a full rehabilitation therapy center, cancer treatment and radiation therapy center, and a 24-hour emergency department.
OBH is fully accredited, provides high quality care in a compassionate environment to all patients, regardless of their ability to pay, and has been nationally recognized for outstanding patient care.
Position Summary
Collaborates with Program Director to achieve program objectives and overall program mission. Assists with the development and planning of programs to support the department. Develops relationships with and acts as a liaison to internal and external contacts. Assists with data collection, data entry and other computer needs supporting department objectives as appropriate. Attends staff meetings and assists program staff to meet department needs.
Minimum Requirements
Education:
a.High school diploma required; College degree or two (2) or more years of education in business human resources, health care preferred;
b.Current American Heart Association (AHA) BLS Healthcare Provider status required upon hire
Experience
A minimum of one year experience in a health care environment
Basic Life Support (BLS) Certification
Other Information
Day shift, 8 hours, 40 hours per week.
May be required to work after hours for a few events throughout the year.
