ECU Health Edgecombe Hospital is a full-service, 117-bed acute care facility where residents of Tarboro and the surrounding communities can receive a wide range of health services close to home. As part of the ECU Health system of care, the hospital offers high quality care provided by more than 20 medical specialists, rehabilitation services, a birthing center, a cancer center, outpatient clinics and more.

Position Summary

The Physical Therapist (PT) is responsible for the assessment, planning, intervention and evaluation of patient care. As a PT, you will purposeful use activites or interventions to promote health and achieve functional outcomes by developing, improving and restoring the highest level of independence of any individual who is limited by a physical injury or illness, a developmental or learning disability or an adverse environmental condition. Phyical Therapist are responsible for the teaching, delegating to or supervising other personnel in implementing the treatment regimen. Directly accountable to the manager for the quality of patient care delivered. You will be required to modify and deliver care that is specific to the age, growth, and development of patients according to departmental scope of services.

Minimum Requirements

• Four year degree or higher from an APTA Accredited school of Physical Therapy

CAREER LADDER

Level I:

• 0-3 years of experience
• Current valid license or eligible for licensure for Physical Therapy by The North Carolina Board of Physical Therapy Examiners

Level II:

• 3-5 years of experience
• Registration or Certification: North Carolina Board of Physical Therapy

Level III:

• 5-10 years of experience
• Registration or Certification: North Carolina Board of Physical Therapy

Level IV:

• 10 years or more experience
• Registration or Certification: North Carolina Board of Physical Therapy

Other Information

• 40 hours a week

• Monday - Friday (8 am - 4:30 pm)

• Required to work rotating Saturdays and On-Call on Sundays

• Will work primarily in Outpatient with opportunities to work in Acute Care
