Position Summary

Leads architectural strategy and implementation of Office 365 Solutions.

Leads and Mentors all team members.

Responsible for final review of all changes to ensure a healthy, secure, and stable infrastructure.

Leads all team members in complex troubleshooting.

Lead administrative and maintenance activities to ensure a healthy, secure, and stable infrastructure.

Develops and reports against Client technologies KPI's to ensure critical business objectives are being met

Monitor the Office 365 environment and proactively implement changes to reduce risk and minimize unplanned outage or performance issues

Evaluate, recommend, implement, and maintain security hardening standards across Office 365 components.

Works on (or leads) advanced, complex technical projects or business issues requiring state of the art technical or industry knowledge.

Evaluates, selects, integrates, and implements new Office 365 features, and processes.

Provides well-written technical documentation and demonstrate strong oral communication skills.

Lead other engineers, colleagues, consultants, and vendors to effectively analyze and resolve complex issues.

Serve as highest internal level of escalation for critical issues and develops root cause analysis and reporting.

Provide on-call support as needed by the business, to 24x7 critical infrastructure operations.

Provides leadership in the planning and design of Office 365 architecture roadmaps.

Leads in the development of operational policies, procedures, and best practices.

Responsibilities

Ability to learn new skills quickly; Keen attention to detail; and Adept at multi-tasking such as concurrently managing multiple incidents, project tasks, or keep lights on maintenance activities.

Architect, design and build solutions with redundancy, stability and fault tolerances in mind.

Establishes a two-year roadmap and documented plan of dependencies of upcoming system upgrades for technology supported directly or indirectly by team.

Leads cross functional teams in the evaluation, testing, and implementation of defect patches, system upgrades and releases according to the Information Services support model and change control procedures.

Collaborate and promote further use of testing automation tools to other teams to reduce labor effort to perform unit or integrated testing time.

Leads on the formulation and implementation of strategy. Applies the highest level of leadership skills. Deep understanding of the industry and the implications of emerging technologies for the wider business environment. Contributes to the implementation of policy and strategy. Creatively applies a wide range of technical and/or management principles.

Initiates and assists in managing the technical aspects of the work across teams.

Actively manage risk associated with compliance, classification, security and business rules affecting our data.

Takes a leading role in promoting security throughout own area of responsibilities and collectively in the organization.

Plans and designs security solutions and/or capabilities that enable the organization to ensure the confidentiality, integrity and availability of services throughout own area of responsibilities.

Responsible for ensuring identified security vulnerabilities, misconfigurations, or excess permissions for systems are corrected. Able to document corrective action plans for non-compliant systems.
Oversees daily individual and team member work efforts and ensuring work completed on time.

Follows methodology and procedures set by IS Project Management Office (PMO) and completes assigned tasks related to projects.

Leads cross-functional team through corroborating ideas, solutions and implementation action plans.

Provides leadership and best practices in area of expertise through presentations, publishing, teaching/training others and promoting continuous learning and improvement throughout the team.

Leads change and innovation by example.
Develops team/department goals and strategies, helps communicate and generate active interest and support among team to achieve goals.

Creates self-initiated forums to share latest technology being rolled-out or upcoming industry advancement to department team members and business partners.

Assumes an active role in external professional organizations. Demonstrates best practice knowledge and sought out as reference within industry and as subject matter expert by organization team members.

Deep knowledge of ITIL including Service Value System and uses to align with operational and IS priorities, objectives and drivers. Understanding of the role IS plays in enabling the operational objectives.

Leads team is evaluating ongoing complex problem and developing plan including new procedures and communications addressing recurring quality issue.
Aware of how processes and systems affect the organization, what is or is not working as they perform work and deliver services.

Establishes new metrics as IS processes or end user workflow processes change based on insights from existing data. Leads cross-team or organizational forums to solve complex problems. Develops and monitors trends and reporting to determine and implement proactive actions to prevent issues from occurring in the future.

Elicits feedback from IS peers and business partner leaders to affect change to process or communications that delivers positive outcome.

Minimum Requirements

Bachelor's degree in a related Information Technology course of study or equivalent work training and experience required- or higher.

Microsoft 365 fundamentals is required or must be completed within 2 months of hire.

Microsoft Security Administrator Associate must be completed within 4 months of hire

Must complete Enterprise Administrator Expert within one year of hire

Must Complete one Additional role-based certification within one year of hire


Experience:

8+ Years of progressive experience as a Microsoft 365 Administrator or equivalent role.

Expert Level understanding of Office 365 technologies and solutions.

5+ years of ITIL experience.

5+ years of experience with project management.

Successful track record of meeting SLAs for assigned incidents with a higher degree of quality..

Successful Track record of completing assigned project work on time with high degree of quality.

Successful track record of working collaboratively with others.

Proven ability to take on the most complex issues and work.

5+ years of experience creating automation scripts via PowerShell, VB or other scripting languages.

5+ years of group policy management.

5+ years of Active directory experience.

Experience with enterprise applications, asset management tools, remote support tools and enterprise anti-virus tools.

Proven advanced analytical and problem-solving abilities including packet capture analysis, log file analysis and other diagnostic tools.

Extensive experience working in a team-oriented, collaborative environment.

Ability to effectively prioritize and execute tasks in a high-pressure environment for self and team members.

Experience in maintaining task schedules, and meeting project deadlines required.

Experience supporting customers with complex technology issues.

Experience conducting research into a wide range of computing issues as required.

5+ years of experience supporting complex and diverse technical environments.

Has a diverse understanding of foundation architecture, hardware, and software.

Solid understanding of networking concepts.

Solid understanding of server administration functions.

Possess a strong customer focused orientation to ensure that client needs are addressed and resolved in accordance with service level agreements.

Ability to effectively lead, guide, direct and mentor staff.

Technical escalation point for staff.

Ability to identify root cause of issues and implement permanent resolutions.
