Position Summary

Leads the ORA Team by making appropriate assignments. Makes rounds to help with assigned duties, leads by example, and holds the team accountable.
Provides education for the group as needed such as positioning, transporting, cleaning rooms/equipment, and keeping the area stocked with supplies.
Works to support the Pit Crew by making appropriate assignments, training for efficiency in room turn over and set up.
Communicating with the OR staff to assure continuity of service. Leading change as the OR develops new processes for growth and improvements.
Reports directly to the ANM assigned

Essential Job Functions:
Leads by example.
Demonstrates a good work ethic and follows policies and procedures. Listens to the team and acts as a liaison for the team and OR Management.

Provides Education:
Educates the team on new processes and equipment.
Conducts morning huddles with the group to share any information from the afternoon huddles or service line meetings. Has responsibility for the orientation of new ORAs to the Operating Room.
Involvement in the selection of new team members. Interviews with OR leadership all the new candidates for the PRA position.
Performs coaching and/or evaluations for ORAs with the assistance of the OR ANM.

Minimum Requirements

  • High School or equivalent is required.
  • BLS Certification is required.
  • 1 year of Operating Room experience is required.
