Position Summary

The individual filling this position provides support to address, analyze issues or projects relevant to the computerization, business and goals of Respiratory Care Services. Assist the development, implementation, maintenance and long range planning of computer applications. Provides Quality and Safety and EHR computer training and support to Respiratory Staff and Students. Develop and maintain databases of information as requested to track.and trend department operations workloads and financial data and healthcare decision making. Meets regularly with Respiratory Supervisory group to develop/revise departmental policy and procedure or strategies to reflect department growth and priorities.

Minimum Requirements

  • BA/BS is required, BA/BS in Healthcare or higher preferred
  • Certified Professional in Healthcare Quality is required after completion of 1 year in this position.
  • Prior experience with Computer applications and evaluation and design is required.
  • Microsoft office (Word, Excel, Powerpoint) experience required.
  • 1 - 2 years EPIC experience is required.
  • Registered Respiratory Therapist is preferred.
  • Licensed by North Carolina Respiratory Care License Board is preferred.
  • More than 2 years' experience with database Healthcare in EMR IT is preferred.
  • Project development experience preferred.
