About ECU Health Roanoke-Chowan Hospital

ECU Health Roanoke-Chowan Hospital is a 114-bed community hospital located in Ahoskie. Serving four nearby counties, the 15-bed emergency department sees approximately 18,000 patients per year. ECU Health Roanoke-Chowan Hospital provides a wide range of health services, including medical, surgical and radiation oncology. In addition, the Wound Healing and Pain Management clinics serve as referral centers for neighboring ECU Health hospitals and providers.

Ahoskie, NC is ideally located an hour from the Norfolk/Virginia Beach area and two hours from Raleigh, Richmond, Williamsburg, and the beautiful Outer Banks of NC. Ahoskie offers a moderate cost of living, a strong sense of community, and a temperate climate and location to support a variety of year round outdoor activities, such as boating, kayaking, hunting, fishing, hiking, and golf.

Position Summary

The Nursing Assistant I or II performs specific responsibilities under the direction and supervision of a licensed nurse. You will function within the framework of the NAI listing granted by the NC Department of Health and Human Services and/or NA II listing granted by the NC Board of Nursing. Practices within the philosophy and goals of patient care services.

 

 

Minimum Requirements

  • High School, GED, or higher
  • Current American Heart Association HeartSaver certification 

NA I:

  • NAI listing with NC Department of Health and Human Services

NA II:

  • NAI listing with NC Department of Health and Human Services
  • NA II listing with the NC Board of Nursing



 

Other Information

  • This is an PRN, work as needed position
