About ECU Health North Hospital

ECU Health North Hospital is a Joint Commission-accredited, 204-bed acute bed facility serving Halifax, Northampton and Warren counties in the north-central region of North Carolina. Its service area also reaches into southern Virginia. With more than 600 team members, the hospital offers a broad range of medical and surgical services. It features a 24-hour emergency department and offers advanced diagnostics as well as specialty and primary care.

Position Summary

The OH Nurse delivers quality care utilizing advanced clinical skills and knowledge with at a minimum of 2 years experience in Occupational Health Nursing. This should include current licensure by the state of North Carolina.

Minimum Requirements

  • Basic Life Support (BLS) Certification
  • Associates RN Degree or higher.
  • NC RN License is required.
  • Maintains RN licensure by obtaining 15 hours of continuing education annually.
  • Maintains current CPR certification.
  • Maintains knowledge of regulations from OSHA, CDC, NIOSH, and Infection Control Guidelines.
  • Maintains PCP competency.
  • Encouraged to self study and achieve COHN certification.
  • 1 to 3 years experience in Med-Surgery Nursing,  Occupational Health, Public Health or Infection Control.
