About The Outer Banks Hospital
The Outer Banks Hospital is a full-service critical access hospital offering a wide range of inpatient and outpatient services. The 21-bed facility is designed to meet the needs of the coastal community, whose year-round population of approximately 35,000 swells to about 350,000 in the summer season. Its campus includes four ORs, a medical/surgical unit, a labor & delivery suite with a dedicated caesarian section OR, a full rehabilitation therapy center, cancer treatment and radiation therapy center, and a 24-hour emergency department.
OBH is fully accredited, provides high quality care in a compassionate environment to all patients, regardless of their ability to pay, and has been nationally recognized for outstanding patient care.
Assists in providing direct quality patient care under the direction and supervision of a registered nurse. Participates in the assessment of patients. Assists in developing, implementing and evaluating/revising the plan of care.
Must be a licensed practical nurse licensed in the State of North Carolina. Current American Heart Association (AHA) BLS Healthcare Provider status is required upon hire. AHA ACLS certification required within 6 months of hire. Demonstrates competencies in nursing practice. Basic computer skills with excellent verbal and written communication skills. Must be able to provide care to all patient populations.
Requires at least three months of relative work experience. Working knowledge of equipment utilization, maintenance and safety.
This is a full-time, 36 hours a week, position.
This position is eligible for full-time team member benefits.
This position may be eligible for a $2,500.00 retention bonus.
